She works with her students based on where they are and doesn’t make you feel uncomfortable if you can’t do certain poses. I always feel balanced and at peace at the end of class. I started Prenatal Yoga with Vicki from Dharma Cottage two years ago, and fell in love with her kind natured personality, and beautiful yoga space.

Vicki’s calm nature and presence throughout the classes were exactly what a newly expecting mother needed. Following on from the birth of our son, we continued our yoga practice with Mums and Bubs Classes at Dharma Cottage. My son has since grown up with Vicki’s class and we both look forward to coming each week. He now performs some yoga moves and I have always found Vicki’s classes restorative and soothing. Our son would always have a great sleep after Mums and Bubs Yoga classes!!

THE MOST AMAZING MUM’S & BUB’S CLASS IN THE AREA

The most Amazing Mum’s & Bub’s Class in the Area. Vicki is a great instructor and so beautifully understanding of the bub’s (and mum’s) needs.

The babies are included in the classes and incorporated into yoga poses. It really helps to relieve the tension I have in my neck and shoulders from holding hub and breastfeeding. I always leave feeling so relaxed – its actually my favourite hour of the whole week! Also a great place top meet other mum’s!

Highly reccommended!

Hemp bedding is thick, luxe & buttery soft

I’d been looking to update my quilt cover for some time and recently purchased this beautiful queen hemp cover from Dharma Cottage Collective.

My main criteria for bedding is that it must be 100% organic.

When my cover arrived, I was so impressed that it didn’t arrive wrapped in a tonne of plastic, instead it was packed beautifully into a reusable hemp backpack that I will definitely be using around town.

The hemp cover is thick and luxe and became buttery soft after a few washes. The colour blends perfectly with my neutral styled home.

I am so impressed with my purchase and will definitely be adding more of these gorgeous hemp products to our home.

INCREDIBLE TEACHER – YIN IS MY GO-TO

Prenatal and mums and bubs has been a highlight of my yoga experience. Such a great experience getting to know the other mums and babies. Also, when I want to enjoy a class without my baby, Yin is my go-to.

I have been attending yoga at the Dharma Cottage regularly for the past 18 months and will continue to go for as long as I can…

I started in pre-natal classes during my pregnancy – it was amazing for me in preparing to soften my body and focus on my breath throughout labour and the birth.

I now take my daughter to the mums and bubs class, which does wonders to help me relax and stretch out all those sore and tight muscles. Plus we get to have some contact time with other mums and bubs. We have been very blessed to have met some amazing ladies and babies!

Vic – our teacher is an amazing woman with a beautiful soul! Her guiding voice throughout the classes keeps you centred and in the moment. You can feel this awesome energy radiating from within the studio space, as soon as you walk in.

After the class you finish with a pot of tea made from fresh garden herds and a revitalised mind!

BEAUTIFUL DHARMA COTTAGE YOGA – SO WELCOMING

The atmosphere at beautiful Dharma Cottage Yoga is so relaxed and welcoming; your practice starts from the moment you walk through the gates! Vicki greets each student like an old friend.
Her relaxed attitude spreads to the participants and its easy to feel that you are among friends, even with strangers.
I attend the mums and bubs classes and the patience Vicki has throughput the class is astounding, with babies climbing over each other and everything (sometimes her), the occasional grumpy bub and sometimes baby mayhem. She somehow maintains a sense of acceptance, serenity and peace in the class despite all of this. Vicki is attracting a loyal following from those of us who so appreciate being able to bring our little ones into a safe and welcoming space and still be able to enjoy some authentic yoga practice and relaxation.
I find the class the perfect level for me (an experienced yogi) post birth, in that its simple enough to keep up with and still attend to baby, yet varies, challenging and deep enough to keep me interested.
Vicki presents to Akhanda style well, incorporating pranayama, asana an some mindful meditation into each class. The babies are accommodated brilliantly and her class prices are very reasonable.

A Giant Impact on my Life

I attended Yin Classes at Dharma Cottage with Vicki for the past year. I initially hoped the classes would relieve short term work stress, yet I had no idea they would end up having a complete, giant, irreversible impact on my life and my state of being. I feel like I have my life back.

Before I started attending Vicki’s Yin Yoga practice I had been seriously thinking I would have to give up working in my profession because of severe pain and difficulty in moving due to a medical condition I have , Ankylosing Spondylitis. Not only has Vicki’s experience as a Yoga teacher allowed me to remain at work her wisdom has given me many tools to manage my condition. Dharma Cottage also provides Wellness workshops, Kahuna Massage, Reiki and Sacred Full Moon Womens Circles that are amazing. The energy in the studio along with the meditiation and breath work practiced throughout the class leaves me feeling grounded and in a blissful state. I feel like I have my life back.
